Rock Art Ridge Runner BWSA

Style and Glass: Barleywine, Snifter
ABV, Volume & Calories: 7.5 % in 22 fl oz. estimated at 400 C
Purchased at: Canal’s Lawrenceville, NJ for $3.29

Aroma: okay, soft, gentle.

Visuals: bad label, bad packaging, ruby, angry, color, clear, thin white head, long lasting lace.

Taste: unbalanced, little malt, no hops, no strength.

Palate: low quality, smooth texture, no finish.

Overall: like water. Hard to believe this is 7% abv, not a repeat, not a favorite, okay value, little craft.

dirt floral citrus

Mouthfeel

Sensation: slick
Body: light
Carbonation: faint
Finish

Length: medium
Intensity: medium
Balance: sour
Notes: Definitely the sort of beer Mike from Canal’s would enjoy, though I’m not as much of a fan of sour beers. It’s interesting, but not really my thing. Noticed that it has a salivating effect on me in the finish. Weird.

General Impression: 15 out of 20
Craftmanship: interesting
Freshness: fresh
Personal Taste: liked.
Notes: This was an experience I was glad to try, but I really prefer extreme beers to this kind of subtlety, beautiful though it is.
