Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA
Pourn: Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA

Pourn: Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA

Style; glass: DIPA; tulip, snifter
12 fl oz x 9% ABV = 108 / 60 = 1.8 beers * 150 C = 270 calories (est.)
Purchased at: Canal’s Burlington, NJ  for $2.78 Thanks, Mike!

Aroma: citrus, sweetness, and hash resin

Visuals: simple but effective packaging, a deep sunset with rain coming, clear, red, orange, and pinks, sediment pour brings particles, off white yellowish head, sticky lace.

Taste: very well balanced, approaches cloying, sweet, bitter, sour, Simcoe and cascade hops, delicious.

Palate: Bright, then very dull and rounded. All about the citrus burn and hop bitterness.

Overall: One of my favorite IPAs despite the overt sweetness. Well layered, well done.
