Aroma: dirt, dust, tea, leaves, mold, appropriate for the style
Visuals: Packaging is not really appealing to me, but well done. I prefer realism and seriousness to cartoons and playfulness in beer label design. Deep brown, brilliant. Retains head indefinitely, lacing is fleeting.
Taste: begins very roasted, malty, but not heavy, middle is nutty and leafy, finish is a bit of smoke and clean water.
Palate: begins rounded, middle is drying, a bit washy, finishes rather thin, somewhat spongey.
Overall: Bocks, in general, underwhelm me, but this one is nicely done for the style, and is a superior value, in my opinion.
