Hoppin Frog BORIS the Crusher

Style and Glass: Oatmeal-Imperial Stout; snifter
ABV, Volume & Calories: 9.4 % in 22 fl oz. estimated at 400 C
Purchased at: Circle Liquors for $9.49

Aroma: very nice, cocoa, coffee, cream, rye, oak, wine.

Visuals: okay packaging, velvet chocolate cake, black, opaque, thin tan head, fully dissipating, no lace, hefty viscosity.

Taste: well balanced, chocolate, hefty malt, bitter, hefty hops, high strength.

Palate: high quality, smooth texture, medium bitter finish.

Overall: delicious and amazing. An absolute repeat. A very nice brew. Medium value. High craft.

Having this again tonight, and recently, in general, due to the case from Bella Vista. It’s rich, syrupy, and deep. Coffee and chocolate throughout the scent. Taste is overtly sweet and balanced with bitterness. Finish is long, dark, and bitter. Still and beautiful. Quite smooth — alcohol is very well hidden, and flavor is pronounced and delicious. Hoppin Frog is menacing and intimidating, but very rewarding. Wholly enjoyable.
