5 Saranac Pumpkin

7 Almost a joke in itself

5 dark and frothy but

7 flavor is water and spice

7 but then nothing very nice



Green Flash Hop Head Red Ale

Style and Glass: Amber/Red Ale, Pint, Mug
ABV, Volume & Calories: 6 % in 12 fl oz. estimated at 160 C
Purchased at: Circle Liquors Super Saver, Pennington, NJ for $2.50

Aroma: impressive, hops, grapefruit. 10 out of 10.

Visuals: simple, effective, deep red, clear, persistent white head, sticky lace. 5 out of 5.

Taste: well balanced, sweet malt, bitter hops, good strength, well crafted. 10 out of 10.

Palate: high quality, syrupy texture, long bitter finish. 5 out of 5.

Overall: a great IPA derivative, I would have it again in a heartbeat, it’s a favorite, high value, well crafted. 20 out of 20.



Rogue Brutal Bitter

Style and Glass: ESB, Pint, Mug
ABV, Volume & Calories: 6.2% in 22 fl oz. estimated at 300C
Purchased at: Circle Liquors, Pennington, NJ for $5.99

Aroma: nice, hoppy. 8 out of 10.

Visuals: okay design, golden color, clear, persistent white head, good lace. 4 out of 5.

Taste: unbalanced, light malt, heavy hops, light strength, good craft. 8 out of 10.

Palate: high quality, prickly texture, medium finish. 4 out of 5.

Overall: reminds me of a watery Hop Harvest from Sierra Nevada. I’ve had this before, and I might have it again. I’m surprised that this rates as high as it does. medium value. good craft. 16 out of 20.



Founders Breakfast Stout

Aroma: inviting, cocoa, chocolate, roasted, coffee. 10 out of 10.

Visuals: beautiful label, black, opaque, everlasting tan head, sticky lace. 5 out of 5.

Taste: well balanced, chocolate malt, subtle hops, tempered strength, well crafted. 10 out of 10.

Palate: high quality, creamy, long quiet finish. 5 out of 5.

Overall: a delicious dessert.  I’ll have it again. A favorite. Medium value, high craft. 20 out of 20
