RateBeer Rating, Style and Glass: 50, Irish Ale, Pint
ABV, Volume & Calories: 5 % in 12 fl oz. estimated at 150 C
Purchased at: Houlihan’s for $5

Aroma: mild malty aroma. 4 out of 10.

Visuals: pint, dark red, clear, persistent head with nice lacing. 5 out of 5.

Taste: sweet, light hops, weaker, light craft. 4 out of 10.

Palate: lower quality, light sandy texture, short finish. 2 out of 5.

Overall: Like Old Chub with water added. I will likely have it again. Not a favorite, and not of great value. 10 out of 20.

John, you MUST be an Englishmman.
They never appreciate anything from Ireland.
Too bad but that is ok.

I recently had another person tell me to revisit Smithwick’s — I’m going to have to give it another shot. After all, I’m Irish.
