Craft beers are on the rise.
Most wine stores who have web sites and shipping options also have a wine club. I’m really intrigued by the idea of a craft beer club. Suppose I gave you $30 a month, like many wine club starter levels, and you find a way to deliver me 3 great 22oz craft beers a month with no repeats for at least a year?
The first month could be a Bear Republic Hot Rod Rye, a Victory Baltic Thunder, and a Ommegang Witte, since you might already have those in stock. After that you could branch out or do themes, like hoppy ales of the Northwest, followed by Double IPAs from the East, followed by European Chocolate Stouts. There’s so many great beers out there, and so few ways to get the special ones, that I think I’m not alone in wanting this service.
I’d also love a six pack sampler option, where you buy 12 special cases of 12 fantastic beers, then mix and match them into 12 packs for $20-30. You could go wild with your sampling options, themes, and pricing there. You could throw in a really special ale or two and offset the cost by way of the method of distribution.
It would mean at least $30 a month you’re not getting right now, but probably a lot more. We want variety, availability, and service, and those are all things you can offer.
Best of luck.
