sensory first impression: Rich, deep, chocolaty, and nutty. Alcohol comes through, but still drinkable. Impressive darkness, tan head, and aroma. Hoppy finish and malty front end are wonderfully balanced. A great example of the style.

Malt flavor is: dark caramel, maple syrupy, dark chocolate, bold coffee, almonds, cashews, almost burnt
Hop flavor is: resinous, florid, oregano

Color is: black, without highlights except for a light blue tinge

Palate: high quality, biting texture, long, dark finish. 5 out of 5.
Overall: Amazing, definitely a repeat, always a favorite, high value, high craft. 20 out of 20.

Visuals: slightly cloudy, golden, bright white, persistent head, thick, foamy lace, best lace ever. 5 out of 5.
Taste: apple, cherry, grape, chemical finish, a bit wet, medium craft. 7 out of 10.
Palate: foamy, surf, bubbly, highly carbonated, medium finish. 4 out of 5.
Overall: Visually appealing. Rather chemical finish, and a bit soapy. I would not seek it out again, though it was not bad. It seemed a bit more commercial than craft. 16 out of 20.

First Impression: Beautiful. Delicious Aroma. Very hoppy. IPA like scent. Aroma is very deep and rounded. Visuals include a deep copper body under a white foamy head. Taste is hoppy, malty, slightly watery. Palate is somewhat dull, Front top of mouth, interesting in this way. Long delicious finish. Second Impression. Nicely crafted, delicious, enjoyable. Good looking, with nice aroma, delicious taste.
