Victory Storm King Imperial Stout

It’s the scent
of burning wood
specifically oak, it is
deep and wide, and
consumes me.

I want to swim in it, to
jump into it
to bathe.

The taste is of liquid wood, of
pepperoni and fennel,
of coffee and cream, of
darkness and sugar.

It has very little in the way of sound
just the crack of the cap,
and the pour.

But it’s heavy in the hand,
oily in the mouth, and
sticky
in the throat.
